There is no time to waste. YourParty is still developing and the far right are organising. Keir Starmer, rather than tackling child poverty and ending the two-child limit, has instead targeted pensioners, the disabled and individuals with mental health difficulties. The cost of food and energy is rising.
Labour have lost one Cllr. and another is leaving. At the moment they can only be Independents. Neither are up for re-election in May. Their aim is to prepare a base to win seats in the upcoming elections.
Currently Cllrs. are working with friends in politics and the trade unions. They are asking supporters of Zarah and Jeremy, who have joined nationally, to join-us andhelp organise locally for the May elections.
Cllrs. are saying, “as soon as we get enough people we must hold a meeting, so that supporters can take over. Decide how they want to organise and then do it.”
May is potentially the last local election for existing councils in the city, county and Peterborough, before we get our new Unitary Authorities in 2028. So this adds to the urgency.
