There is no time to waste. Keir Starmer, has failed to confront the far right. Preferring to targets pensioners, the disabled and people with mental health difficulties. Meanwhile, the cost of food and energy is rising, and people are homeless. The UK continues to provide arms to kill innocents in Gaza.

Politics in Cambs cannot wait.. Right now we need a structure to advise and support our Cllrs.. Therefore we are organising as independents to achieve this.

We have one Cllr.. Another will be joining shortly. More Cllr’s. are expected to join to work together as independents.

Why are Cllrs acting as independents? YPCambs have been asked to accept existing Cllrs but their view is that they will wait until they get a much bigger membership. Nationally things are a bit disrupted. This will improve.

Currently Cllrs. are working with friends in politics and the trade unions. They are asking supporters of Zarah and Jeremy, who have joined nationally, to join us locally for May elections.

Cllrs. are saying, “as soon as we get enough people join us, we will hold a meeting. Then the supporters can take over, decide how they want to organise AND do it.”

May 2026 is potentially the last local election for the city, and county. The next time we get to vote for local politicians, is likely to be when we get our new Unitary Authorities in 2028. This adds to the urgency to win seats in May 2026.
Join-up now – after all it’s going to be your party.
